Note biographique
Nycole PAQUIN détient un Ph.D en sémiologie en arts visuels et enseigne au département d’histoire de l’art de l’UQAM. Elle a publié de nombreux livres et articles en sémiotique et en esthétique dans l’optique des sciences cognitives. Ses recherches actuelles portent sur la mobilité et l’interchangeabilité des statuts accordés aux objets et aux oeuvres d’art.

Biographical note
Nycole PAQUIN holds a Ph.D in the semiology of visual arts, and is a professor in the art history department at UQÀM. She has published numerous books and articles on semiotics and aesthetics from a cognitive science perspective. Her current research focuses on the mobility and interchangeability of the status given to art objects and works.
