Based in part on documentary research carried out on Canadian educational policies relating to well-being, success and diversity at school (Rousseau et al., in progress), this work aims to evaluate the consideration of diversity at school in Quebec and in the French-speaking Canadian minority context. Following the review of the official texts of the different provinces on this question, we proceeded to examine the corpus of qualitative data using network analysis. Our results highlight three different approaches that emerge from official political texts to consider student diversity, namely one centered on student markers, one in response to socio-educational phenomena and one centered on the needs of students. These results urge the reflection on the persistence of categorical approach regarding to difficulties at school, and on the importance of diversity education to counter the associated forms of discrimination.

Para-dressage is the only equestrian discipline present at the Paralympic Games. The aim of this narrative review of the literature is to understand the current state of research on the practice of para-dressage, in order to question the possibility of the Paralympic Games representing an opportunity for the development of the practice of horse riding for people with disabilities. To date, there are very few scientific articles on this sport. The articles that have been selected here refer to the psycho-affective and social benefits of para-dressage, and in particular, the normalizing effect it has.

Higher education is a critical step in empowering and achieving inclusion. The surveys carried since 2016 out on our campus, coupled with the observation of a weak exploration of the field of accessibilty in universities, stimulated the emergence of the Gulivers Campus project. How to make the University a model of inclusion, a stimulator of action, an example of spatial democracy? The University of Lille has been the heart of a network of actors concerned with designing inclusive research based on new methods of qualitative investigation. Work on the Cité Scientifique campus has contributed to the invention of solutions that combine social innovations and technological innovations. The digital tool Uptimizy (global evaluation and visualization of uses) was built from the standards and criteria of use. It makes it possible to data visualize the levels of accessibility of roads, buildings and equipment. The study was revealing of the interdependence of the fields of action. Beyond the arrangements and legal constraints, the creation of an inclusive campus comes up against functional obstacles specific to each territory. The implementation of inclusion requires new transversal tools. A SCOT-U (University Territorial Coherence Scheme) has been tested with the prospect of dissemination to other universities.

Contexte: Les rétinopathies ischémiques prolifératives caractérisées par une néovascularisation rétinienne exagérée sont les principales causes de déficience visuelle et de cécité chez les adultes et les enfants. Malgré le rôle important du VEGF dans cette néovascularisation, il existe des preuves que d'autres facteurs participent à ce processus. Notamment des facteurs qui sont sensibles à l'hypoxie-ischémie, les métabolites. Le succinate a été récemment montré comme exerçant un rôle important dans la régulation de l'angiogenèse rétinienne. Negotiating obstacles, whether stationary or in motion, poses considerable difficulty, contributing to diminished confidence and restricted mobility. Addressing the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals, this thesis introduces a novel solution in the form of a smart cane, aimed at enhancing their mobility and independence. Leveraging advanced technology, the smart cane integrates sensors and intelligent algorithms to provide real-time feedback and navigation assistance. The research delves into the current literature surrounding indoor navigation systems and the techniques used in Smart Canes to aid users in performing tasks. La cataracte est la première cause de cécité dans le monde, touchant 17 millions de personnes, et la deuxième cause de déficience visuelle modérée à sévère, touchant 83,5 millions de personnes, après les erreurs de réfraction. Le nombre de personnes atteintes de cataracte n'a pas augmenté, malgré le vieillissement de la population. Cela s'explique par le fait que le nombre d'interventions chirurgicales a également augmenté. Il y a actuellement 25 millions d'opérations par an. Les lentilles intraoculaires (LIO) sont également en constante évolution. Au départ, elles étaient fabriquées en matériaux rigides.
