On the 17th July of 1998, the Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries adopted in Rome the Statute of the International Criminal Court. When the delegates rise and applaud the realization of a half-of-a- century old project, the participating ONG representatives could be proud : without the restless work of the civil society during several years, the ICC could also have been created, but its structure and jurisdiction wouldn't have been the same. The new permanent court promised to be different from its predecessors in many aspects. It wouldn't only be the instrument of the “international community”, often associated with the western countries, or even with the former colonial powers, but a forum where numerous victims of mass crimes and affected communities could find justice and redress. One of the most important achievements was indeed the possibility for victims to participate in the procedure and obtain reparations. Twelve years later and six years after the start of the first case, it victims seem have conquered their place in the courtroom, their legal representatives have an influence on the proceedings, but their communities are still waiting for the expectations created by the ICC being fulfilled.

SummaryRupturing with traditional forms of insertion, Montréal street youths have, in a precarious manner, began to use the urban socio-spatial margin as a site of identity recomposition. This socio-spatial margin is presented as a geographical organization structuring the practices of the appropriation of place. The author offers a theoretical understanding of the link unifying the identity process and space. It is on the basis of the key-concepts transitional space and geographical trajectory that it is possible to identify the geo-social route taken by street youths. As such, in order to assess the potential for the marginalized socialization of street youths, it is important to consider the renewal efforts underway in east-central Montréal.

AbstractThe epic Renaut de Montauban ou Les quatre fils Aymon was staged more often than any other medieval work during the first half of the 19th century. Published in the « Bibliothèque Bleue », it became a living legend in popular imagination. With its heroic and supernatural motifs, the epic lent itself to spectacular productions, which on the popular stage sometimes lead to a freely adapted rendition of the original text. Renaut de Montauban was used to address issues such as the legitimacy of power, the existence of evil, the condition of women and the decadence of the aristocracy ; the legend was not so much used to present the Middle Ages as to hold up a mirror to the 19th century audience.

The strategic approach observed in small and medium-sized firms is greatly influenced by the turbulence which largely characterizes their context. As a consequence of this turbulence, managers have extreme difficulty in reading their environment and in positioning their firm within it.Basing ourselves on a qualitative study carried out with 45 small and medium-sized firms managers, we demonstrate how the manager reconstructs the environment around his firm.We present a possible analysis table of the small and medium-sized firms managers' strategic approach according to, on the one hand, the perceived degree of lisibility of their environment, and, on the other, their managerial behaviour. Finally, we suggest a more qualitative approach to the position concept based on the notion of role, which leads us to consider the importance in the small and medium-sized firm manager's strategic approach, of his area of lisibility; the meaning of the latter is explained in the text.

Duchamp is highly appreciated as the founder of conceptual art. However, it has not be stressed enough that Duchamp develops a coherent practice of the concept-body. The concept of the essential body is put forward, with its mechanica, its fragments, its indices. It is impossible to think the duchampian body without taking into account the necessity of the printing. The “ glory of the print ” introduces a topology of the “ infra-mince ”, a theme which has been developed by Duchamp in his Notes.
