This article explores the theoretical implications of the logic of practicality in world politics. In social and political life, practices do not primarily derive from instrumental rationality, norm-following or communicative action. These three logics of social action suffer from a representational bias in that they focus on what agents think about instead of what they think from. According to the logic of practicality, practices rather are the result of inarticulate know-how which makes appear what is to be done self-evident or commonsensical. Building on insights from philosophy, psychology and especially Bourdieu's sociology, the article develops a theory of practice of security communities arguing that peace exists in and through practice when security officials' practical sense makes diplomacy the self-evident way to solving interstate disputes.

Through the example of SCoT Du Grand Clermont, a territorial planning process, this paper shows how agriculture is integrated into an urban project for land use development. In our study, the place of agriculture in the planning depends on the actors involved during the process and on the interaction between these actors during the project. A more or less involvement of a variety of actors in the planning device, their respective weight in this one, their strategies and their interests, are variables which have an incidence on the consideration of the agriculture.

While more than 50% of the world's population is connected to the Internet, the major platforms, and particularly Facebook, have acquired an enormous political power. This new situation forces us to rethink the emancipation project of the enlightenment. In this article, I propose that researchers in the humanities and social sciences take up this challenge by adopting and disseminating new standards of reflexive collective intelligence. Knowledge commons, open science and the sovereignty of individuals over the data they produce are unanimously accepted. But these essential principles are not enough. The available computing and communication power, combined with the use of IEML (a language with computable semantics), enables us to contemplate a transparency of the knowledge, meaning and authority creation processes. I present here the main strategic orientations for reaching these objectives. An epistemological revolution in the human sciences is within reach, and with it a new stage in the evolution of critical thinking.
