This article offers the testimonies and perspectives of young adults from varied backgrounds who associate themselves with the idea of diversity and share their hopes for a more inclusive school. Coming from three Canadian provinces, they met at a Seminar on Diversity at School organized by the Réseau de recherche et de valorisation de la recherche sur le bien-être et la réussite en contexte de diversité (RÉVERBÈRE) in fall 2023. In this article, the authors share their thoughts by trying to define what diversity is and target the current challenges in taking diversity into account at school. They also propose various possible solutions and concrete actions that can help improve the situation of learners from diverse backgrounds who attend an educational establishment. This initiative is part of the youth voice movement, which aims to help young people find solutions to the problems that concern them.

A cultural action that is positive, enthusiastic, marked by good physical health and triumphant youth is being consolidated in Algeria. This growth, which is based on new training in sociocultural community development, is part of a broader movement of civil society. Indeed, since the adoption in 2023 of a bill to set up mechanisms for an active and effective associative movement within society, the law on associations is being harmonized with the Article 53 of the new Algerian constitution, under which the right to create associations is guaranteed and can be exercised by a simple declaration, associations which may be dissolved only by a court decision. If the social aspect still prevails over the cultural aspect of sociocultural community development, everything is being set up so that it can play its full role in the development of the country by 2030-2035.

This article draws on interviews with two PhD holders in research-creation, Sarah Granereau and Marine Noël, as well as with their thesis supervisors, Alain Beaulieu, Béatrice Bonhomme, Claire Legendre. It examines the influence of Annie Ernaux's work on their respective creative and scholarly paths, showing how Ernaux's writing serves as a powerful catalyst—not through imitation, but by fostering a genuine intertextual dialogue. These exchanges illuminate the ways in which Ernaux's oeuvre opens a fertile space where transmission and experimentation meet and intertwine.
