The greater Paris competition gathered on the specific issue of the sustainable city, a great part of the architecture and town planning field, supported by research centres in social and hard science. This competition was the very place of a renewal in terms of representation concerning nature and the city. Among those new representations, the will to increase the presence of natural elements and processes in order to regulate and structure urban space has been very strong, hence constituting a kind of ‘super nature”. The article is describing how this super nature operates and how it differs with classical urban theories.

Besides carrying the legacy of the missionaries who were part of the Canadian colonization, present day missionaries who visit Quebec First Nations communities must also face the religious pluralism that characterizes them. How are these contemporary missionaries received? An analysis of the case of the Anicinabe community of Lac-Simon, which receives evangelical Korean missionaries several times a year, shows that members' responses to this missionary presence are divergent. The article develops the hypothesis that religious tolerance explains the presence of missionaries. This tolerance is based, among other things, on a need for healing. Several responses are examined: Christian Anicinabek; the indifferent, but tolerant individuals; critical individuals, but not openly against; the strategic response and those concerning children. Particular attention is paid to responses to the participation of Anicinabek children, who are the main target of the missionaries.

The article examines the potential for restoration and reconciliation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC). This Commission was implemented in Canada from 2008 to 2015 in response to the traumas experienced by Aboriginal Peoples in the residential school system. The author concludes that these potentialities are relatively limited. The main limits hold in the absence of a dialogue space between the victims and the oppressors, in a centering on the victims' narrative traumas but also in a depoliticized notion of reconciliation. The TRC of Canada did not subscribe to decolonization as the course to reconciliation but preferred to take the path of a pacification of the relations between peoples. Yet, the author supports the idea that the reconciliation between Native Peoples and the State requires going a step further than healing and material and symbolic restoration. Decolonization of institutions, redistribution of territories and in-depth constitutional reform remain the only possible avenues to succeed in reconciling victims of a cultural genocide with their oppressors.
