The International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), a multifaceted transportation and trade network has recently emerged as one of the new pivotal axes in the global geopolitical landscape. An extensive network of transportation links spanning multiple countries, the INSTC interconnects India, Iran, Russia, and a host of Central Asian nations. By creating an alternative route to existing trade corridors, the INSTC has the potential to reshape international commerce and geopolitics. This article delves into the strategic and economic significance of the corridor for India and Russia and explores how the INSTC complements or competes with other global infrastructure initiatives.
