The aim of this article is to present business and employment cooperatives as the social and solidarity economy's response to the problem of supporting new businesses. These cooperatives provide an original way of supporting new businesses by giving collective entrepreneurs the security as employees. Based on empirical work conducted among several cooperatives, the article describes who their target groups are, what they are seeking, what they get, and the educational role played by the cooperatives in making members more aware of the social and solidarity economy.

Social work being a profession that concentrates on the relationship between individuals and their environment, it seems to be in a good position to help understand handicap by increasing the importance given to environmental factors, that long have been put aside in favor of individual factors. Although, since all disciplinary projects are actualized in a dialogue with their context, it becomes interesting to explore the real expression of the professional identity of social workers employed in rehabilitation settings for people who have physical disabilities, which has been done through a doctoral research. Results demonstrate that, starting with a conception of social work that is partly consistent with the ecological approach, the context influences the way participants take environmental factors into consideration in their diverse roles and tasks. Before bringing the article to a close, these results are discussed in comparison with scientific knowledge on the topic.

Today, computers are found in all sciences. Philosophy is no exception. We see the birth of a computer philosophy and a computational, an experimental, and a digital philosophy, etc. What relationship can there be between these two different epistemic practices that are philosophy and computer science ? The pragmatic philosophy of science invites us to see a scientific project as a model building endeavour. For research projects that include computers, one of these models will be conceptual. This will allow philosophy to play a fruitful role in relation to formal, computational, and technological models. This hypothesis is explored in computer-aided text analysis (CARAT) reading projects that are applied to texts of highly theoretical levels such as philosophical texts.

Among the factors identified in scientific literature to explain attrition among teachers is the relationship between personnel and students, and the presence of both a challenging public and teaching environment. This article draws on the concept of resilience and explores the discourse of new faculty members about students they consider to have learning difficulties. The teachers that were interviewed identified different types of academic problems. The results of our analysis show that teachers who reproduce a discourse that sees a child with learning difficulties as academically deficient, also expresses a feeling of powerlessness in terms of their ability to help the student. This feeling is lessened when the teachers' professional environment provides them with support or resources within the framework of an accompaniment relationship. This seems to increase the teachers' ability to develop healthier human relationships with students, and therefore better integrate an inclusive practice of difference into their practice.

Faced with the urgent need to act on the social and environmental issue of climate change, young people represent a generation that has much to gain or lose from decisions made by older groups. Despite a well-documented fatalism in the face of environmental issues, it seems more and more evident that young people represent a generation affected by climate change. A climate change education for empowerment thus seems most appropriate for greater social and environmental justice. In addition, it seems relevant, to empower, to focus on its emotional dimensions and, more particularly, on what we call the sense of empowerment. In this article, the theoretical bases which allow us to justify the relevance of this concept are presented. Some results from interviews with young Quebecers in secondary school also illustrate how the school context impacts the sense of empowerment.

Anxiety and depression are among the most common mental disorders in the workplace and represent one of the leading causes of disability among workers. Symptoms related to these disorders have important repercussions for workers and organizations, such as a decrease in job satisfaction, as well as various difficulties in functioning at work (e.g., presenteeism, absenteeism). Social support from colleagues and relatives represents a promising lever to support the numerous workers living with symptoms of depression or anxiety.
