Objectives Despite the existence of several online treatments for people with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), few studies have examined usage data for such interventions. Given the potential of the online modality to alleviate barriers limiting access to psychological help, it is important to document users' interactions with these tools in relation to the improvement of targeted symptoms. The objective of this study is to document usage data of the online treatment platform RESILIENT by people evacuated from the Fort McMurray, Alberta (Canada) fires, and to examine their association with the effectiveness of treatment on symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), insomnia and depression, and adherence to treatment, as measured by the number of modules accessed by participants.

Post-secondary teachers find that many students who could benefit from the support of their institution’s academic skills centres to succeed in their courses do not show up. Ways to motivate students to use these services are in development and will need to be evaluated. This article presents the process for developing and validating the Échelle de perception d’un centre d’aide en français du postsecondaire (ÉPCAFP). The instrument is composed of three subscales (Interest, Utility and Controllability) and has been evaluated with 1,324 college students from four colleges in Quebec. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes revealed a structure that clearly distinguishes the 10 items of the scale according to the three conceptual dimensions representing the subscales. Moreover, results are satisfactory with regard of internal consistency, discriminant validity as well as criterion-related validity of the instrument. The results of this study are discussed in light to the issue that justified its conduct.

Framed in the field of crisis informatics, this article focuses on the ways citizens have been collectively making sense through social media to the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted a qualitative investigation mobilizing an ethnographic analysis of the Wikipedia's pages related to the pandemic as well as interviews with its contributors and a member of the Wikimedia Foundation-France. We show how the Wikipedians' know-how allows to offer a reading of the current dramatic event, vector of uncertainty. We also shed light on the specificities of the health crisis compared to others so-called civil security crises. Specifically, the construction of meaning related to the pandemic has been requiring an unprecedented reorganisation of their ways of editing and publishing these pages. Particularly, they took into account the successive stages of the pandemic and the related disinformation phenomenon.

Being information literate is an essential skill for K-12 students in the age of Google. But learning how to search, evaluate and use information available on the Web often relies on their teachers' information literacy training. This study analyses how Quebec preservice teachers are trained to teach information literacy and how they foresee teaching it in schools. Results show that the initial training received is insufficient and that most preservice teachers will only teach basic information searching skills on the Web with Google. Results are discussed in light of the literature and recommendations are made to improve how preservice teachers are trained to teach information literacy.

With the aim of achieving a more just and equitable society, inclusive education is increasingly being implemented in schools and concern for the well-being of everyone involved is growing. Universal Pedagogy (UP), an open and flexible approach, is a preferred form of inclusive education because it leads to positive learning experiences. Studies on UP emphasize its many benefits, but few explore its influence on teacher well-being. This action research aims to document teachers' perceptions of the influence of UP on their well-being. During the 2020-2021 school year, ten teachers from a Franco-Manitoban primary school were trained and supported in the implementation of UP in their classrooms. This article presents the results of individual interviews and a questionnaire conducted with participants. The analysis of the results brings out elements that influenced the well-being of teaching staff in the context of implementing the UP. These results are discussed in light of the pandemic context, which had significant consequences on the project.

The interactival exhibits operated on computer are very numerous in the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie and are part of many of museums and exhibitions regular set up. Do we deal with a contestable fashion for a hi-tech museology or a foundation of a new method of relationship with visitors? Our hypothesis, based on many case studies, is that the specificity of this type of présentation lies rather in a great closeness between respective conceptors and visitors faced with an interactivai exhibit: conception and practice need sometimes closely related processes and this relation may set up the quality of a mutual effort towards each others.

Being defeated in an election is a normal part of how democracy works in a country like France, and everyone with a political career experiences it. The speeches of defeated candidates on the evening of the second round of elections for the presidency of the Fifth Republic were used to explore the place and role of emotions in politics. The article combines a historical perspective with observation of the situations in which the speeches were made and with textual analysis to suggest three periods corresponding to separate ways of framing an electoral defeat. These changes are accompanied by transformations in emotional standards. An analysis of the words used by the losers provides information on the emotions that are expected during these forced speeches as well as the emotions that they inspire in different audiences.

This study aims to explore whether psychological distress and a sense of community are associated to parenting sense of competence in accompanying their children while doing homework. Based on data from the 2018 Eastern Townships Population Health Survey, correlational analyses led to results indicating that parenting sense of competency is negatively associated with psychological distress while positively associated with sense of community belonging. These findings underline the relevance of encouraging social interactions within communities, particularly in populations facing various stressors.

Research Framework : Although all Quebec residents have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and by the health and social measures put in place since March 2020, working parents have been particularly affected by the various stressors caused by this crisis, in both their family and professional life. In such a context, it seems relevant to examine the consequences of the pandemic on work-family balance, and more specifically on the factors associated with it. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to document the personal, family and work characteristics associated with work-family balance among university employees with children aged 11 or younger in the context of the pandemic. Methodology : The data used for this study were collected between April 24 and June 5, 2020, through an online survey. A total of 217 staff members from ten institutions of the Quebec University Network completed the survey, which included questions related to work-family balance. Multiple linear regressions were used to determine the respective influence of factors associated with the work-family balance. Results : Overall, this study shows that university employees having children aged 11 or younger present a majority of moderate to high work-family conflict in the context of the pandemic. It also highlights some of the factors that may help or hinder work-family balance in this population of parents, namely level of parenting strain, satisfaction with sharing childcare and parenting duties, job category, stability of job performance, and number of young school-aged children. Conclusions : These findings underscore the importance of implementing work and family support programs and respite measures for parents with young school-aged children to help them balance their family and work responsibilities in times of crisis. Contribution : Although some studies have documented factors associated with work-family balance in times of pandemic, they remain few and only one has been conducted in the Quebec context. Work-family balance is likely to be experienced differently in Quebec, which is different from other countries in terms of its family policy. In addition, this study is the first to look at university employees, a group of workers who were among the first to be affected by the school closures in the spring of 2020.

Objectives Collaboration between family caregivers and professionals plays a critical role in the recovery of the person living with a mental health disorder. However, collaborative practices between family caregivers and professionals are impeded by issues relating to confidentiality, particularly in connection with bidirectional information sharing between the parties involved. In doing so, these issues affect the quality of mental health services.
