This article explores the social uses of ICTs and their impact on the quality of life of international students (IS) in the context of the 2020 Quebec lockdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Semi-structured online interviews with 40 ISTs revealed that ISTs use social media for communication and peer support and use applications for multiple purposes (information, entertainment, shopping, games). Video conferencing platforms have played a significant role in enabling participation in online activities and maintaining relationships with family and friends. Finally, ICTs have made it possible to cope with confinement conditions, but they have also had repercussions on the quality of life that have been assessed as problematic (increased time spent online, addiction, anxiety, fatigue).

In the wake of the transformation that characterizes the insurance industry, these days, Internet appears to be on the mind of everyone, as a manifestation of the changes happening, a threat to some, an opportunity to others. There are many forms of business activities that can take place over the net: electronic mail, bulletin boards, information search, electronic storefront and mall on the World Wide Web, file transfer and EDI, interactive access to remote computers. The author highlights the possible use of these activities by the various players in the insurance arena to reach their prospects and clients, to promote their products and services, as well as to develop new ones adapted to the growing Internet generation. A repertory is provided of the growing Canadian insurance-related players present on the web. Internet finds its place among emerging technologies to help the insurance community redefine itself in a new paradigm of continuous improvement and mass customization. Will Internet disappear as it came, once the fad has passed? Or will it eliminate all other forms of networks presently used in the insurance world? The author compares the Internet phenomenon to the development of the Post through the ages. There emerges a sense that various forms of networks will survive and coexist, some more robust and secure, in the service of business partners, some more "open" and democratic, accessible to everyone, from the small business all the way to the consumer. Leading the way to democratize the electronic commerce is none other than Internet.

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of students with disabilities enrolled in Quebec universities. This trend is also reflected in social work programs, highlighting the specific educational needs of these students, especially in relation to practical training. Internships, which are central to social work training, can indeed be a source of challenges. Faced with these challenges, supervisors sometimes feel helpless. To counteract this tendency, a learning community was put in place from 2020 to 2023. This article reports the results of a study that complemented the creation of this learning community. It details the characteristics of the community and the skills that emerged from it. The study revealed that the cognitive dimension (knowledge generated by participants in the learning community) contributed to participant learning and facilitated the identification of actions to be taken (ideological dimension). Despite the limitations of the virtual context, a learning community is an effective lever for strengthening supervisors' coaching skills.

Gynecological and obstetrical violence refers to medical and gender-based violence perpetrated by healthcare professionals against patients during pregnancy, follow-up visits, or childbirth. The authors conducted this qualitative and exploratory study in Quebec with nine cisgender women and one non-binary individual. The paper investigates the forms of violence experienced, their reactions, and the strategies they employed in the short, medium, and long term to survive, recognize the violence, protect others, and potentially emancipate themselves from the violence endured. The aim is not only to facilitate their recovery but also to contribute to an understanding of these issues.

The aim of this mixed-methods study conducted with 89 teachers is to paint a portrait of film teaching in Quebec high schools. The results show that film is mainly taught in Visual Arts and Multimedia, French (as first language), and various courses directly related to cinema. Two profiles emerge: the visual arts teacher, who mainly does practical projects, and the French teacher, who tends to do film analysis. The research data analysis leads to the conclusion that the taught curriculum of cinema is based on the few mentions of cinema in the formal curriculum (PFEQ), but that the lack of autonomy of cinema, as an artistic discipline in the latter, results in generalized didactic difficulties.

In distance or blended learning contexts, higher education teachers are faced with many technopedagogical challenges. The dispositif d'autoformation dynamique pour l'innovation (DADI) aims to provide resources and a self-assessment tool based on Bachy's (2014) theoretical model of disciplinary technopedagogical knowledge (DTPK). This research aimed to construct and validate this self-assessment tool. The validation methodology combined qualitative and quantitative approaches, involving experts in educational sciences and higher education teachers from intentionally varied disciplines. This article focuses on the quantitative results. The statistical evaluation was conducted with 173 Quebec teachers through an online questionnaire. Semi-confirmatory factor analyses, following exploratory analyses, confirm the tool's validity with 60 items. They also examine the relevance of compartmentalizing certain knowledge domains in teachers' practice.
