The purpose of this research was to create a portrait of the population, resources and actions of the resource teacher (RT) in Quebec through a questionnaire. This article will present, on the one hand, the data that provide a portrait of the resources and services offered to HDAA high school students as part of this scheme, and on the other hand, the types of students it addresses effectively. The results show that the services offered are organized mainly out of class by using students' disciplinary difficulties as a basis for the selected. Several ER call for more co-teaching and collaboration with the classroom teacher.

There are numerous instruments in the literature to measure motivation in physical activity and sport achieved in physical education context. However, tools for assessing motivation in physical and health education (PHE) courses are rare. To promote physical activity, PHE teachers are developing various teaching and assessment strategies. In this context, an instrument that measures motivation in PHE would help to assess the effectiveness of the strategies put in place. This study reports on the process of developing and validating such an instrument with French-speaking postsecondary students, including a pre-intervention version and a post-intervention version. Results indicate good psychometric properties for the instrument. These results are discussed in the light of the instrument's foresights and the needs that justified its conduct.

In spite of a will of objectivity, the evaluation of the pupils' learning difficulties is partly influenced by the evaluators' social representations of learning difficulties. This study aims at analysing these representations for diverse actors of the education system, that is, pupils, parents, teachers, and educational psychologists. The results show that learning difficulty comes in a variety of forms: disorders related to the family, the peers, school, individual characteristics (personality, cognitive disorders, behaviors), culture, and help to provide. Moreover, these different categories are not found in an equivalent way according to the groups even though internal factors are predominant in the descriptions. The implications of these contrasted representations are discussed.

Psychotropic medication in rehabilitation centers is a common phenomenon that leads to the question of the adolescents' compliance toward this medication. To assess compliance to psychotropic medication, we first developed and validated the “ECAOPP”, a behavior and attitude evaluation self-rating scale regarding compliance to psychotropic medication (Laurier & Lafortune, 2007). Then, we developed and validated a complementary measure, the “ECOPP-Obs”, which brought an outside view (from their educators, or a third party) on the adolescents' compliance. The final version of this scale, presented in this article, has good psychometric properties; it includes six items in a unique factor measuring the compliance behaviors to prescribed medications. After the observation of those two measures (selfevaluation of compliance and evaluation from a third party), the results from “ECOPP-Obs” are compared to those of the “ECAOPP” for 104 dyads “adolescent-educator”. Then, further analyses are performed to interpret the divergences between information from the adolescents and that given by their educators. It seems that the scores of both scales are positively correlated, but only moderately. The study of the divergences allows for the creation of a variable expressing the “difference between self-rating compliance and compliance evaluated by a third party”. From these analyses, it appears that adolescents from cities are rated in a more severe way by their educators while they reported a good compliance, when they are compared to adolescents from suburbs or countries. Meanwhile, there was no difference in term of age, gender, results from behavior and symptomatic scales (Youth Self Report YSR; Teacher Report Form TRF; Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale for Children BPRS-C).

Our contribution will deal with the very particular method of Ferruccio Rossi-Landi's semiotics proposing a homology between linguistic production and material production that permits to show the semiotic aspects of economics in the narrower sense. First, we will state the specificity and originality of Rossi-Landi's Materialist-Dialectical approach. Then, we will have to highlight his consideration of messages as commodities and of commodities as messages. Thus, we will stress his recognition of Marx's semiotic intuition, in The Capital, to analyse the sign-character of the exchange-value. Finally, we will show some possible developments and intersections of Rossi-Landi's theories concerning recent analyses on the present phase of capitalism and the important role of the commodity-messages homology in our epoch of communication-production.

Research framework: This article is based on two studies of young adults who were exposed to intimate partner violence (IPV) in childhood or adolescence. These studies focused on their life course and their views of intimate partner violence. Objectives: The article documents the types of agency enacted by the young adults interviewed, through their life course. It also explores the extent to which the use of the Life History Calendar (LHC) in the research can help empower these young adults over the way they tell their stories. Methodology: Semi-structured qualitative interviews, supported by the LHC, were conducted with 63 young people aged 18 to 25 who had been exposed to intimate partner violence. Their agency was analyzed using Hitlin and Elder’s (2007) typology. Results: The identity agency strategies described by the participants relate largely to actions that allow them to protect themselves from violence in their daily life. The pragmatic agency and life course agency allowed them to face new situations and to project themselves into a better future. Their participation in the research is also part of their agentive strategies. Conclusions: The retrospective view adopted by the participants leads them to describe the meaning they gave to the agentive strategies used to counter their experience with exposition to IPV and its short- and long-term consequences. In addition to generating new knowledge about exposition to IPV, the methodology used allows a reappropriation of their life story by young adults involved, who can explain the meaning of their actions or decisions. Contribution: Considering young adults who have experienced exposure to IPV as actors in their life course contributes to giving them a voice and taking their points of view into account in the decisions that concern them.

The forest-savannah mosaics are an ecological and heterogenous formation, where landscape structure and composition vary substantially. This study investigates the spatial organization of human activities at the scale of village terroirs of the North Batéké Chiefdom, Democratic Republic of Congo. How are human activities organized on the periphery of the villages? Is there local variability in the spatiality of these activities and what factors account for such variability? Finally, what are the consequences on the landscape, particularly in terms of deforestation? These questions were addressed by crossing data from georeferenced field surveys and socio-economic surveys, all of which were triangulated with analyses from geomatics (GIS and remote sensing). A theoretical model of the village terroir was produced for all villages, consisting of a concentric organization of activities on the periphery of villages, based on the maximum distances walked for each activity. A variation in these distances was observed, notably concerning agriculture, because of demography, availability of woodlands, the presence of community forests and the intensity of economic agriculture. This inter-village variability made it possible to highlight a village typology directly linked to the landscape composition of the terroirs, and thus to highlight different socio-ecological situations within a small area. This has made it possible to identify certain deforestation hotspots, and, conversely, areas where there is little degradation of forest cover. Ultimately, this study aims to support local policies in terms of development and conservation by enabling them to act in an integrated approach at the village level. By relying on the concept of village terroir, this research highlights the relevance of carrying out local, or even micro-local, studies in order to gain a better understanding of the complexity of human-environment relations, which are directly visible on the landscape.
