Despite the febrile socio-political context of recent years regarding the question of whether to offer restorative justice options for domestic or sexual violence, since 2016 in Quebec there has been a program called «specialized mediation». Created by the Équijustice network, it offers dialogue services between victims and perpetrators of violence - including sexual violence and domestic violence - whether or not the situation has gone to court. This program has been the subject of a study in 2022, financed by the Fonds d'aide aux victimes d'actes criminels (FAVAC).

In France, there is a growing need to support older people who are losing their independence due to the aging population. The supply of professional care is under pressure, and the number of potential family caregivers is set to decline. To promote aging at home, the "home shift" has been advocated recently. This article analyzes how the home shift meets the expectations and preferences of older people and their families. To analyze the preferences of older people and their carers, 36 interviews were conducted using the content analysis method. The interviews revealed that home care relies heavily on the care of relatives, who provide almost all the administrative assistance, coordination of professionals, supervision, and support for social life. However, some of this care is "taken over" because it is not provided by professionals, which can have a negative impact on the caregiver and lead to breaks in the care provided. The interviews also showed that older people are unanimous in their desire not to be a burden on their loved ones, especially their children, if they lose their independence. Furthermore, the negative perceptions that older adults and their families have of nursing homes were highlighted, even though in certain situations, nursing homes may be more appropriate and beneficial than living at home, such as isolation or high dependency with cognitive problems. Today, financial and family resources significantly impact the quality of support for people losing their independence. The analysis of older people's willingness to seek care and caregivers' desire to help leads us to question home care policy, where there is a discrepancy between the respective expectations of families and the state.

This study proposes that memory bias toward failures in preteens contributes in a bias of self-estimation and to test anxiety that mediatize the relation between the memory bias and the development of interiorized troubles at 15 years old. 826 students (423 girls) between 10 and 15 years old answered a self-reported questioner about our variables in three measuring times in four years. Tested with the mediation analyses (Mplus), our results suggest that the effect of the memory bias toward the failure memories on the development of depressives symptoms is partially indirect and mediatized by negative bias of self-evaluation and test anxiety. Knowing the role of bias towards memories of failure, test anxiety and negative bias of self-evaluation in the presence of depressive symptoms, these aspects could be taken into consideration in interventions with young people presenting such symptoms.

Students experiencing some difficulties in their studies and registered in the program Tremplin DEC at the CEGEP of Sherbrooke had participated to the « Personal Goal Management » intervention. Many aspects of the global well-being of the students were evaluated before and after the intervention in the frame of a quasi-experimental device with control group and with pretest and post-test. In spite of the small number of participants, the quantitative and qualitative results show that students experience many benefits in terms of learning and well-being from this participation to the goal-oriented program. These results support those of the many others studies in the domain.

The Covid-19 pandemic and the three successive lockdowns taking place in France during the years 2020 and 2021 have led to the development of telework in unprecedented proportions, as well as an upsurge in the uses of digital devices to compensate for the lack of co-presence. In this paper, we analyze to what extent the pandemic period has altered interpersonal communication between colleagues with equal hierarchical status. We wonder whether ICTs have been used to extend the “spaces of discussion” necessary to the emergence of social support, and to the transmission of the rules of the profession? This research draws on a qualitative enquiry based on 34 semi-structured interviews with teleworkers. Data analysis brings to the fore a feeling of isolation, a dehumanization of professional relations, as well as the trivialization of problematic digital practices. At the other end of the spectrum, respondents express positive views on relational distance (a decrease in conflicts, less disturbances in the work setting, refocusing on elective relationships). The factors leading to these contrasting opinions are brought into focus.

The objective of this article is to analyze the specificities and the entrepreneurial issues of the atypical work relationship that constitutes the CSA cooperation initiated between a small farmer and a group of volunteer consumers. Similar to a specific form of agricultural collective entrepreneurship, the creation of a community supported agriculture (CSA) materializes through a contractualized commitment of consumers in the activity of agricultural production and direct sales of local food products. The commitment of these consumers can then be compared to a real workforce for the small farmer, facilitating access to complementary expertise and skills. Our research aims to understand how CSA cooperation, as an atypical work relationship, makes it possible to stimulate, within a territory, collective rural entrepreneurship between a small farmer and a group of volunteer consumers. Based on a qualitative methodology, our results show that this atypical work relationship is characterized by a system of co-production, co-management and learning reciprocity. Furthermore, it promotes, for the rural entrepreneur, the establishment of an enabling environment thanks to the principles of replacement, support, education and accompaniment which the creation of a CSA obeys and which strengthen the capacity for action and empowerment of the small farmer. Thus, the purpose of this atypical work relationship lies in “undertaking together” to, ultimately, co-create social value. This entrepreneurial and altruistic approach to the atypical work relationship enriches the academic literature which has, until now, considered it mainly from the worker's vulnerable situation. We also propose to consider it based on the worker's ability to take part in a collective entrepreneurship project by providing a community with a set of expertise and skills.

A growing body of empirical research has explored sex work and those involved in it. However, these investigations often flatten the diversity of lived experiences by overlooking the distinctions related to both the diverse practices and varied profiles of individuals engaged in the industry. The experiences of women who voluntarily and independently enter into sex work remain particularly underexplored. Often operating on the fringes of institutionalized and more visible forms of sex work, these women remain largely unknown and underrepresented in academic literature. As such, this study examines the impact of marginalization on the trajectories of independent sex workers. Employing a qualitative methodology, thirteen participants shared their experiences within the industry, offering insight into the risks of victimization they are faced with, as well as the protective strategies they adopt. Analyzing their narratives reveals the many forms of discrimination and violence they encounter, the self-protection mechanisms they develop, and the psychological and social consequences of persistent stigmatization. By deepening our understanding of the risks and coping strategies associated with their profession, this research offers essential perspectives on the unique challenges faced by independent sex workers in contexts characterized by marginalization.
