Since 2003, the Association pour la recherche au collégial supports a metaresearch on the best practices in the field of IT pedagogical integration. During its first stage, both a meta-analysis and a metasynthesis of empirical data drawn from experiments conducted in various colleges have brought to light a heuristic model of the determinants of a successful pedagogical integration of IT. During a second stage, interviews with experts have allowed to elicit their representations and confront them with the initial model. The conclusions are that the experts both confirm the primary results coming from empirical researches and add new dimensions to be considered. The third stage of the metaresearch, still active, transfers the results toward a community of technopedagogical advisors. Following a grounded theory approach, activities conducted with these professionals contribute to ascertain and broaden the dimensions taken into consideration by the ARC model.

The author presents a research and communication project on the cultural, social and commercial history of about 40 theatre spaces in Montreal that were active between 1825 and 1930; it was developed in partnership with UQAM's Laboratoire d'histoire et de patrimoine de Montréal. Delving into both the published documentary heritage and the archival documents held by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, the project has generated two complementary communication projects. A collection was created in Spring 2017, first in Historypin, and then as 200 images and brief texts in a structured format on Story Maps, another Web platform. The author comments on the scope of the project, its methodology, and its documentary implications. She also compares the respective strengths of both of the platforms that have been used.

Modern technologies development reopens the delicate problem of the confidential information with economic significance also called « Trade secrets » or « savoir-faire » legal status. In the absence of specific rules, in France just as in Quebec, trade secrets are at present protected by both general law of obligations : contract (in France judges refer themselves to the actual content of a contract, whereas in Quebec they use the Common Law notion of fiduciary obligation) and tort law (notably unfair trading actions and even actions against parasitic activites). It follows from the complexity and fragmentation of the actual protection System that one has also to consider the application of property law principles which are identical in both countries. It can be shown that the general evolution of this branch of law added to the typical characteristics of trade secrets, makes such an application possible.Furthermore the individual and social interests legitimity, as well as property law usefulness in that case, render it appropriate. To consider trade secrets as property rights is in accordance with reality and makes unnecessary — at least in contract and tort, but not in criminal law — a new legislation which, at such an early stage, would risk to be unappropriate to a field which has just started its development — that is subject to the Canadian federal System requirements —.

Many studies have highlighted various characteristics of populist discourse. This raises the question of the extent to which populist discourse differs from non-populist discourse. To answer this question, we textometrically subjected the programs of ten populist and ten non-populist political actors, confronting two opponents in the same country. The analysis reveals that populists and non-populists have much in common, constrained as they are to adjust their opinions to the political questions related to a country and to the general requirements of the dynamic between a contender for government and the electorate. The analysis also finds some dissimilarities, such as the fact that populist platforms are proportionally more insistent than non-populists on economic issues and that non-populist platforms are more animated than others by social democratic principles.

AbstractOn the basis that polylexicality is a morphological mark that allows us to integrate the notion of equivalence between polylexical and monolexical units into translation, we tried to demonstrate the tangled relation between two essential mechanisms of lexical dynamics, namely those of fixation and derivation. This complementarity, given that it is far from being translated in the same way, is not unproblematic during the passage from one language into another, more particularly from French into Arabic or conversely. It represents an obstacle impossible to circumvent when one is faced with the development of bilingual French-Arabic concordancers.
