From public libraries to the Bibliothèque nationale de France, by the way of university and departmental libraries, the video game has succeeded, within a decade, in integrating itself within the French establishments' collections. How has the video game become progressively legitimized within libraries? What has been its impact on the missions and operation of our establishments? How can we ensure its mediation? We propose here a situational analysis on the introduction of the video game in French libraries during the last decade, through a synthesis of available literature review.

As part of an ethnographic-inspired study on social representations of academic success, we found that Gabonese high school girls were conscious of culturally-defined gender roles and expressed a form of feminism. High school girls were striving to balance their desire for autonomy and emancipation with respect for traditional gender roles. This posture resulted in day to day transformations in their personal, family, social and vocational lives. Status quo partisans expressed a dichotomy between the assertiveness of these young women and African culture, the first betraying the second.

Based on a literature review and an inventory of the pedagogical assistance schemes introduced for first year students by several French-language Belgian universities, this study aims at developing an analytical framework for characterizing the assistance schemes. The seven key concepts that specify the pedagogical assistance schemes correspond to seven questions: for whom, when, by whom, what about, what for, how, where.

Any analysis of painted, drawn or engraved marks in prehistoric caves and shelters is materialised, among other things, by a graphic rendering of the motifs observed, i.e. a recording or survey. Methods used for this activity evolve continuously, not only for reasons motivated by research but also due to the appearance of ever-more effective recording materials and equipment. At present, the abandoning of methods of transferring data on to a transparent support and their replacement by photography implies a much stricter taking into consideration of the morphology of cavity walls in order to present the survey's metrical characteristics. In view of this, we had developed specific equipment based on the principal of luminous profiles while, over the past ten years, 3D laser sensors have appeared which are capable of generating very high resolution digital terrain models (DTMs), with a high density of points. The joint use of these measuring instruments and of a camera leads to a remarkable evolution in the graphic rendering of data related to parietal anthropogenic marks, but also to their physical environment. This three-dimensional approach to underground archaeological surroundings, experimented with as early as 1994 in the cave ofVielmouly in the Dordogne, has been applied to most of the panels of the Chauvet-Pont d'Arc site. In addition, a field accessible to other scientific disciplines such as palaeontology, ichnology or karstology has also emerged. This application is also effective in the conservation domain as it provides, among other things, the possibility of modelling the space or area involved to allow digital simulations of air exchanges in order to improve knowledge regarding underground climatology.

A collection of local and regional point daily and monthly rainfall data series is used to illustrate the anisotropy affecting meteorological rainfall totals in North-Eastern France. Their relationship with geographical or atmospherical factors likely to explain their spatial patterns at different spatial scales is also presented. A method of spatial interpolation incorporating an auxiliary geographical information at meso-scale is then applied to a strong windy rainfall event. An attempt to account for the micro-scale variability into the procedure of meteorological rainfall estimation is finally performed.

Drawing from an interdisciplinary research-practice at the intersection of design and computer science, we propose to reflect on the dialogical relationships that surround, traverse, and permeate research. Furthermore, we propose to define the university teacher-researcher-practitioner's workshop as a dialogical environment of knowledge.

Individuals and communities have been experimenting with distributed and decentralized technical architectures since we first began considering digital technologies as our primary information and communication devices. This article reflects on how studying the dynamics of decentralization and distribution on the Internet can shed light on specific aspects of the relationship between ecological and digital transitions. Symmetrically, the article reflects on how using an environmental and ecological prism may highlight certain facets of the social and economic implications of decentralized and distributed architectures. The article is informed by extracts from field surveys carried out since 2009, and by an interdisciplinary literature review.
