AbstractBelgian youth of Turkish and Moroccan origin are increasingly exposed to the structural and sociocultural changes affecting their parents' country. This paper examines how contacts with the parents' country of origin influence processes of social identity construction. We postulate that these contacts affect “identity strategies” as defined by Carmel Camilleri (1990). Sixteen Belgian youths of Turkish and Moroccan origin participated in in-depth interviews. These were analyzed with the content analysis software ALCESTE. Results reveal an influence of gender: girls and boys perceive cultural evolution differently. As expected, results show that participants adopt strategies to manage cultural diversity, but they also point to the influence of identity assignments from the country of origin.

A statistical downscaling model (ASD) was evaluated by simultaneously downscaling maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation in Tangier's region (North-Western Morocco). The data used for evaluation were large-scale atmospheric data encompassing daily NCEP reanalysis data and the daily mean climate model results for scenarios A2 and B2 of the HadCM3 model and scenario A2 of the MCCG3 model. Selected as climate variables for downscaling were measured daily maximum temperature, daily minimum temperature, and precipitation data (1961 - 2000) from the weather station of Tangier. The results show that the pattern of change and numerical values of the temperature can be simulated, with the coefficients of determination between observed and downscaled daily maximum temperature and daily minimum temperature that attain 90% and 81%, respectively. However for precipitation, the statistical relationship still relatively weak, this is illustrated by a coefficient of determination that not exceed 20%.During 2061 – 2100, A2 scenario expect an increase for the maximum air temperature and the minimum temperature that attain about 2,9 °C but precipitation would decrease by about 49%. In the same trend, B2 scenario simulate an increase for the maximum air temperature and the minimum temperature by about 1,8 °C and 1,6 °C respectively and precipitation would decrease by about 45%. Thus, the climate of the North-Western Morocco tends to aridity with more warmer and drier conditions.

Through the ethnographic study of the strain of undocumented women in precarious domestic service in France, the author aims to report on the lawless area that the migration status builds by promoting invisibility and maximum exploitation. The subordination of women workers is here built, in addition to specialized research, as a norm by migration policies – that do not allow, through work in the domestic service, legal residence rights. In this context, the effects of subordination are empirically manifested within and beyond of work. The author proposes to show how legislation influences the relationship to collective mobilizations and the choices of undocumented women and their resistance as a result of migration generation.

The statistics on accidents related to industrial risks are alarming. The consequences of such incidents can be very harmful to a business, its goods, employees, reputation, environment and neighbouring population. To reduce these risks, a company should have an effective risk management policy, clearly defined and correctly implemented in a global approach for continuous improvement. In this paper, we will propose a maturity model for industrial risk management validated by application on fifteen cases studies. This tool will allow managers to evaluate their level of control over industrial risks, identify their weaknesses, and take the adequate decisions that will permit their organizations to be highly reliable.

The Social and United Economy (SUE) sector marks a great convergence with territorial development approaches that are part of endogenous economic development. It places the issues of territorialization, the creation of added value and the development of territorial resources at the heart of its project. In this light, our study aims to analyze the weight of SSE promotion plans in the policies of local public actors through a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with the various local actors—public and private—of a underprivileged region in Morocco (Drâa-Tafilalet). Some avenues that could help to develop and promote the SSE sector in Morocco in a perspective of sustainable territorial development are also presented.

The pedagogy of integration has been prescribed by the Moroccan Ministry of National Education in 2009 to implement a competency-based approach in Moroccan schools. This article questions the implementation of this pedagogy in the classrooms. Based on research conducted in the form of interview, he analyzes the Moroccan teachers of elementary conceptions in terms of teaching-learning approaches to build to operationalize this pedagogy. The results of this analysis reveal that teachers continue to adopt an approach focused on transmitting knowledge when designing the teaching-learning processes to be implemented to update the pedagogy of integration.
