While the COVID-19 pandemic has helped boost Quebecer interest in buying local products, paradoxically, the actual level of demand for local products has stagnated, or even decreased. Beyond the economic factor, which is seen as the most obvious criterion, currently, studies have rarely examined the relationship consumers have with these products through the territorial brands that promote them. How do Quebec consumers perceive these brands? What determines the acceptability of these brands as a guarantee of the local nature of terroir products? How well are they known in the minds of these consumers? What strategies could be introduced to increase their acceptance with consumers? These are just some of the questions addressed by this research, which was carried out on a representative sample of 1203 Quebec consumers. Our conclusions underline the need for regions to strengthen their identity, better communicate their assets, and increase the visibility of their territorial brands to stimulate consumer interest.

This article analyzes the effects of education on the survival of women founded small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of the Congo. The analysis, carried out using data from the 2017 survey “Recensement général des très petites, petites et moyennes entreprises (RTPME)” in accordance with the logistic regression (or logit) model, provided at least two results. Firstly, the highest-level diploma obtained by the promoter improves the survival of women founded small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of the Congo. Secondly, the age of the promoter when founding the business and her access to financing significantly influence the survival of female founded SMEs. These results lead to the formulation of some economic policy recommendations.

Today, business creation plays a major role in the economy of many countries, where its impact on the environment and society is not overlooked. The objective of this work is to study the effects of entrepreneurial dynamics on sustainable development in the Republic of the Congo. To this end, our investigations covered a study period from 1990 to 2021, i.e. 32 observations. Using the two-stage Error Correction Model (ECM), the results obtained show that, in the short term, entrepreneurial dynamics do not improve sustainable development in the Congo in either its weak or strong versions, whereas in the long term, entrepreneurial dynamics improve sustainable development in both its weak and strong versions. In view of the results obtained, it seems essential for the authorities to implement policies to encourage businesses that adopt new technologies in sustainable development practices.

Sociocultural community development has undergone profound changes over the past 15 years. This dynamism, fuelled by the rise of communication technologies, the evolution of audiences and the redefinition of the role of public policies, has given rise to a proliferation of practices and theoretical reflections. A diachronic analysis of these mutations, based on the articles published in the Journal, is proposed to explore the evolution and variations of this discursive content around four axes: the new paradigms arising from the digital age, citizen participation, territorial issues and social change. Sociocultural community development is not just a technique for entertainment, but rather a critical and committed posture that promotes the development of individuals and communities. It is only then that it can contribute to building a more just and democratic future.
