Cette thèse est consacrée à l'œuvre de l'écrivain français Pierre Guyotat, commencée à la fin des années soixante et toujours en cours. Elle examine essentiellement l'important paratexte non fictionnel qui la constitue et, ultimement, les fictions elles-mêmes, dans le but de caractériser l'écriture que Pierre Guyotat y révèle : une écriture plastique, polymorphe, défigurée, où le français est devenu méconnaissable. La mutation décisive opérée dans les œuvres intitulées Bond en avant (1973) et Prostitution (1975) constitue le point d'ancrage et de pivot de cette traversée de l'œuvre guyotienne. Il s'agit de définir les enjeux pulsionnels et esthétiques qui ont informé ce passage à l'écriture défigurée, c'est-à-dire à une forme limite d'illisibilité. This article explores representations of Zola and of naturalism in the early 20th century French press particularly in general-interest weeklies of the interwar period and in magazines of the 1950s. The hypothesis defended here is that of Zola's extensive media presence and of what might be called a “naturalist culture” in middlebrow periodicals. During that same era, and prior to a major rehabilitation of the 1950s, mainstream press and specialized magazines generally regarded Zola as a great man but a mediocre novelist. In contrast, weeklies and then magazines at the turn of the century appropriated Zola's fiction as a way of reading current events and saw it as the matrix of a major contemporary neo-naturalist movement, a movement that has been largely forgotten today.

The authors present a brief history of MATCH, created in 1976, the first wold nongovernmental organization (NGO) to be involved exclusively with women. They explain its new orientations based on strategic needs of women as well as its mode of financing. Finally, they present some examples of current projets in the Third-World which receive MATCH support.
