This article attempts to document street youth perceptions with respect to interventions in the field of sexuality. Individual interviews were conducted with 42 street youths aged 18 to 32. The qualitative analysis of the youths' perceptions involved three aspects: 1) the resources provided; 2) the work carried out by professionals; and 3) the interventions conducted in the field of sexuality. The participants felt that the resources' ability to meet the youths' range of needs can foster dependency and hinder their path to independence. With respect to the work carried out by professionals, the participants reported that social support and closeness are key to the relationship between professionals and youth. Interventions in the field of sexuality are perceived as relevant provided they help build a basis for dialogue marked by trust and sensitivity to youth life experience. This study suggests that, complementary to the prevention of sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI), the social support model plays a relevant role in allowing professionals to feel comfortable and competent in openly and respectfully discussing sexuality with street youth.

This article is an hermeneutical analysis of Alban Berg's Altenberg Lieder opus 4 nos. 2 and 3. These lieder are analysed from the perspective of the feminine persona esthetic known as "Frauenkult", put forward by the controversial poet (and Berg's friend) Peter Altenberg. The author shows how the motivic treatment, the voice-leading strategies and their relation with the poems selected by Berg demonstrate two of the main concepts of the Frauenkult: the valorization of a more autonomous female sexuality and the transcendence of the female soul.
