Faced with the requirement of a rational assessment of the production of human and social professions, communities of practice and training institutions must converge towards a better understanding of the processes implemented in the course of professional activities. This is a huge challenge, since specific knowledge in the exercise of a profession pose particular social actors occupations constraints. This is from the perspective of understanding the emphasis on the relationship that study analyzed academic training programs and written regulators of two relational professions: social work and psychology. After presenting the results of this analysis, the elements contributing to shaping the professional identity of social workers and psychologists trained in Quebec will be discussed.
