L’évaluation psychologique auprès d’enfants se conclut par une rencontre de remise de résultats où des recommandations sont proposées aux parents. L’enfant, de par son statut, dépend des parents quant aux suites données aux recommandations. Qu’en est-il du vécu subjectif du parent lors de ce moment et quel est son impact perçu sur le choix d’aller de l’avant avec la recommandation de psychothérapie? Cette étude qualitative vise à décrire l’expérience subjective des parents lors de la rencontre de remise de résultats émis par le psychologue de l’enfant. Cette recherche qualitative traite de l’expérience des psychologues d’approche relationnelle qui travaillent avec des hommes suicidaires dans le cadre de leur pratique privée. Deux objectifs spécifiques ont été ciblés. Le premier concerne les stratégies que les psychologues utilisent pour intervenir lorsqu’il arrive des ruptures d’alliance thérapeutique de type confrontation avec les hommes suicidaires. Le deuxième objectif spécifique de cette recherche s’intéresse à la perception qu’ont les psychologues de l’impact de la honte sur l’alliance thérapeutique avec leurs clients qui pensent au suicide. Des entrevues semi-dirigées, via une application de visioconférence, ont été faites auprès de six psychologues ayant au moins 15 années d’expérience. AbstractInterpersonal psychotherapy for depressed adolescents (IPT-A) is a brief, evidence-based psychotherapy that has been found to be successful in treating unipolar depression in non-bipolar, non-psychotic adolescents. This article provides an overview of the theoretical principles, developmental adaptations, interpersonal focus and techniques of IPT-A. Treatment specifically targets communication skills and social support in current relationships from a skills perspective. Therefore, the therapeutic focus is on improving the adolescent's relationships with the underlying assumption that this will improve the adolescent's mood. The empirical support for the effectiveness of IPT-A, preliminary findings from clinical trials of adaptations of IPT-A and future directions for research in unipolar adolescent depression are presented briefly.

AbstractAlcoholism, anxiety and depression In this article, the authors examine the links between alcoholism and psychiatric disorders. They estimate that alcohol addiction is rarely a pathology that appears in an isolated fashion. North-american studies conducted within the general population (Epidemiological Catchment Area (ECA), National Comorbidity Study) have confirmed the frequent association of psychiatric disorders and alcoholism (Regier et al., 1990). The authors conclude that depression and anxiety are the two major psychiatric disorders of alcoholism. They suggest that the treatment of anxiety as well as depression be integrated to that of alcoholism.

In this article the author provides an historical overview of the various changes that have taken place at the Maison St-Jacques with respect to its therapeutic approach. The process by which the Maison St-Jacques consolidated the current psychoanalytic group approach is briefly outlined. The author questions the place the Maison St-Jacques currently occupies in the community sector, particularly in relation to recent developments within the autonomous community action (ACA) network, which undermine the identity of some of its member organizations. Although collective movements such as the ACA seek to strengthen the autonomy of practice of the organizations that adhere to its principles, the loss of individuality inherent in any collective movement is discussed. A forward-looking reflection on the Maison St-Jacques's identity and autonomy of intervention is offered in conclusion.
