ABSTRACTThis case study analyzes the implementaion of the reform of care destined to clienteles at the Pavillon Albert-Prévost. The level of implementation and the effects of the new systme have been measured and the influence of the political and structural contexts have been analyzed. At the end of the observation period, the implementation of the intervention was not yet completed but had already entailed interesting effects especially concerning access and efficiency. These effects were achieved through some mechanisms not previously planned for in the reform project. The authors have also identified several environmental facors facilitating the implementation of the reform and the realization of expected effects.

AbstractThe authors first situate the "history game" is its global content as it occurred in a ten-day seminar on intervention in communication which had the objective of integrating the relational and opposi-tional dimensions between private and public, the individual and the collective, the past and the present. They then examine and question the role history can play in psychosociological intervention techniques, as well as the possibilities of developing intervention methods which would integrate historical, individual and social development. The game is then presented with some verbation excerpts, chosen so that the reader may grasp a general idea of how the game progressed and at the same time permit him to look into certain outstanding events of Quebec's history.

This paper presents the cult to old slave's spirits in Umbanda, today in Rio city : the cult to pretos-velhos (literally « old Blacks »). Based on fieldwork elements, the complex portrait of such spiritual entities highlights less visible aspects of slavery's memorial reconstruction in an actual context of redefinition of this past into Brazilian society. The ethnographic approach focuses on the characteristics given by the adepts to theses spirits, on some elements of their life stories and on umbandistas' lived experiences with « old Blacks ». At the same time ancestors, slaves and healers, pretos-velhos cause several interpretations, which notably point out the polysemy of a term such as ancestrality. Besides, their relationship with a black catholic saint, são Benedito, reveals an afro-catholic syncretism into Umbanda's ritual practice. At least, the paper ends reporting the possibility, for umbandistas, of a new visibility in public arena for the symbolic scope of brazilian black slave's image.

This article puts forward a schematic model of the variables and psychological processes that are in play when managers of private firms and public institutions receive requests to accommodate individuals' specific ethnic or religious requirements. This original model is inspired by a theory conceived to guide an intermittent helping relation. Within the process of accommodation, it identifies three sub-processes: self-meaning, self-determination, and self-management. It also pinpoints three sets of relevant variables linked to the perception of imbalance, to motivation, and to attitudes and aptitudes related to openness or closure towards difference. The goal envisaged is to provide a guide to educators who wish to train managers in the process of handling a request for accommodation. For each sub-process and each set of variables, the model identifies useful skills and suggests tools and activities for developing them.

Studies combining a CSR approach and corporate governance theories (Charreaux, 2006, Cespa and Cestone, 2007) have made it possible to explain in the Algerian context the extension of managerial power and the privatisation of companies. (Gana-Oueslati & Labaronne, 2011). Despite the relevance of this research, we show that the company cannot be reduced to contract nodes. It can also be a place of exchange and learning (Argyris & Schön 2002, March 1991). In the context of an Algerian public company, we propose to evaluate the lessons learned from certification according to the ISO 9001 standard.

Nicolas Bourriaud has provided recent developments in arts with a theory of relational aesthetics, which is not based on forms, but on “proximity” – the arts operating within the sphere of intersubjectivity. This paper, which presents the works of two female artists, Lygia Clark and Marina Abramović, aims at completing not only Bourriaud's corpus but as well the typology he has initiated with the care, which “figure” the paper places at the principle of the phenomena and judgments Bourriaud's aesthetics describes. Grounded in the theories of transitional psychoanalysis, the paper further discusses the issue of relational aesthetics, and shows how it works and what this work achieves, objectifying not only its intersubjective characteristic, but the work of hapticity (sense and emotion), and the narcissistic identity that is worked out. Then it proposes a definition of the paradigm of relational aesthetics, in order to critically engage qualitative developments of human and social sciences, and notably of geography, and to reflect the spatial turn.
