ABSTRACTThis brief article maps out some of the central concerns and questions raised in two relatively recent anthologies of essays by major intellectuals, film scholars and historians. In addition to problematizing the representation of history and audio-visual media, these two anthologies examplify the circulation of ideas, the bridges as well as the divisions between the interests of academic inquiry in North America and Europe. What seems to be a common preoccupation, the weight of history in cinema, is only the marker of a clear line of division which is emblematic of divergent values and institutional orientations.

Results from research on the influence of citizen participation on the development of civic competences of people with disabilities highlighted how the acknowledgment of their status of full citizens is crucial to a successful experience. The quality of their experience of civic engagement depends upon this acknowledgment and could probably support real exercise of their political rights. From these observations, the project of developing an ethic of citizenship founded on acknowledgment did impose itself as a guide for the various actors involved in the citizen participation process.

In the New Testament, Romans 8:18-30 is one of the three key texts in the ecological hermeneutics of the Bible (along with Col 1:15-20 and 2 Pet 3:1-13). But the text is theo-logical, eschatological and mythical. Hence the question: how is this premodern mythological text to be received in (post)modernity? After offering a few observations on the text (its indeterminacies and points of tension; then the importance of the metaphors of childbirth and filiation, a metaphorical symbiosis neglected by research), the article sets out four models that seek to resolve the problem of eschatological mythological language. This typology is borrowed (with adaptations) from Jean-Daniel Causse: demythization, demythologization, narratological perspective and psychoanalytical perspective. Finally, these four models are applied to Rom 8 in the context of ecotheology, building on the textual observations made at the beginning of the article.

In the descriptive disciplines, the questions concerning the languages of the object and the symbolic systems impose some scientific rigour on the borders of linguistic and extralinguistic considerations. This is the case of the theme of the organizational governance. The object of this article is to propose a research methodology in this respect by using a theory of the statement. In this way, we show that in the sense of an expression, two philosophic attitudes can cohabit in the statement and that one cannot do without the other : the analytical philosophy of the action and the hermeneutic phenomenology. Such complimentarity anticipates from then on analytical and phenomenological discoveries, and whose synthesis lives in the political philosophy. We shall show that the theory of the statement allows us to approach the ontology of the action, and that being done, it cultivates the ground of the scientific investigation by appealling to the coherence operator.
