This article explores the therapeutic impact of clay mediation on women survivors of extreme violence. Through a qualitative case study of four participants, it examines how clay, combined with a group framework, facilitates trauma symbolization, reduction of psychosomatic symptoms, and identity reconstruction. The clay creations reflect a transition from psychic fragmentation to internal reorganization. The group framework fosters social reaffiliation and collective narrative building. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the approach in humanitarian contexts.

We can synthesize the approaches of translation by means of two mythological figures: Hermes and Orpheus. The first is a metaphor of an hermeneutical translation which transposes the meaning, in other words it's a source-oriented translation. On the other hand, we find Orpheus, a figure that fumbles around in the darkness of form: it is a metaphor of a target-oriented translation. However, we can assume another type of translation, Apollo's translation: it's the mysterious way of recreation and revelation. We will explain those metaphors through four French translations of the first sonnet of Petrarch's Canzoniere: Louis Aragon, Gérard Genot, Yves Bonnefoy and Jean-Yves Masson translations.

AbstractThe author examines the problematic of “appropriation” and the question of making “one's own” what was “alien” in the tradition of hermeneutic philosophy in relation to translation, from Friedrich Schleiermacher to Hans-Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur. If hermeneutics is translation, according to the great philosophers of the tradition, it is crucial to examine how translation can be the model of interpretation. The text as writing, requiring reading and therefore interpretation, is an essentiel dimension of hermeneutics and the point, according to the author, where hermeneutics and translation studies meet. In seeking to describe understanding and the concept of “meaning,” hermeneutic philosophy, for the author, can contribute to the epistemological foundation of translation studies.
