It is more and more recognized that cooperative membership can promote the empowerment of women on the social, economic and political levels. Cooperatives also have the potential to support the reduction of the disparities between women and men, and to become, consciously and proactivly, agents of transformation of relationships between women and men within them and in the communities. This article analyses the strategy of equality between women and men in the COOPFORH project, which was initiated in 2009, with the objective that the 27 largely male-dominated supported agroforest and forest cooperatives would take charge of the promotion of equality between women and men. The significant increase of women's proportion in the membership and elected boards observed to this day indicates that the strategy seems to be allowing an appropriation of the motivation and the processes in the optics of a real coverage of the problems of equality between women and men.

In 1988, some Tunisian firms, essentially in reaction with the environmental regulation, have instituted environmental initiatives. The objective of this research is to classify the Tunisian managers based on their environmental commitment. In a sample of 55 firms, the results show the existence of three groups based on environmental commitment; reactive, conformist and citizen managers. Firm size had a major impact on the environmental commitment. But no relationship was found between environmental commitment and activity sector.
