This study explores the nature and management of tensions within a multi-stakeholder social cooperative. Our literature analysis highlights the organizational tensions that exist within multi-stakeholder social cooperatives. The methodology we employ consists of a single-case study drawing on a thematic content analysis of the semi-structured interviews we conducted within the cooperative under study. Results related to the characterization and management of existing tensions are presented and discussed. They analyse the role of an integrating legal status—Société Coopérative d'Intérêt Collectif (SCIC—collective interest cooperative society)—in the emergence and management of tensions. They propose a new representation of multi-stakeholder social cooperatives as nexus of tensions.

Drawing upon the entrepreneurial spirals concept, this article examines how managerial practices influence entrepreneurial intent in traditional academic activities. The international inquiry analyses innovative teaching into six business schools in France, Canada and Morocco. At the complex interplay between individual goals and organizational objectives, three entrepreneurial loops are identified: converging, diverging and absence of loop. Findings suggest that university management remains a challenge as an appropriate balanced management is required for the changing university's mission towards social and economic well-being. The conditions of successful academic entrepreneurial activities are outlined across three propositions.

This study reports on recent computerized analyses of political discourses, particularly of populist discourses. The focus is on the discursive construction of an empathic identity on behalf of Marine Le Pen, leader of the French National Front: this chosen identity allows the political leader to answer gender stereotypes as well as to keep specific fundamentals defining the Front national politics. Working with software such as Termostat or Sketchengine discursive trends are detected by key words such as solidarity, suffering; these trends can then be refined by qualitative studies. On the one hand, this study confirms the political performativity of emotions, when consistent with gender stereotypes. On the other hand, it attests to the presence of rhetorical features of an anti-system party (key concepts prevailing over the years) which are adapted to new political circumstances (the point of view and focus being reworked). Indeed we suggest that Marine Le Pen has switched the FN's rhetoric from a speech focused on resentment, contempt and nostalgia (Jean-Marie Le Pen's style) into a discourse playing first on more positive emotions, such as empathy, which is also more in line with a female ethos.

The explanatory value of the concept of scenes is fruitful if we consider that the existence of artistic scenes and the competition they establish between themselves at the international level have influenced first rank political decisions. Such was the case with the nomination of Jean Vilar at the Théâtre national populaire in 1951, in the context when the European theatrical scene was being structured around other prominent theatrical venues such as the Piccolo teatro, founded by Giorgio Strehler in Milan in 1948, or the Berliner Ensemble, founded and directed by Brecht in 1949. Such was also the decision to create an Art Center on the plateau of Beaubourg by the French president Pompidou, at the time when Paris was losing its status of international capital of the arts, to the profit of an artistic effervescence in New York and elsewhere in Europe (Kassel, Darmstadt, Cologne, Düsseldorf), in cities which were establishing between themselves in the 1970s a merciless competition in arts and culture.
