Children living with a parent diagnosed with a major depressive disorder are at higher risk of experiencing social, academic and emotional difficulties (Reupert et al., 2012). They also very often have a caregiving role towards their parents (Cooklin, 2010). Abroad, several interventions have been developed for these children and their families in order to promote their resilience. In Quebec, the FAMILLE + program, a targeted preventive intervention for children and families living with a parent with a depressive disorder, was developed in 2018. The content of the program, including its objectives, structure, learning activities and innovative tools proposed will be described. Then, authors will describe the results of a pilot study on the fidelity of the program's implementation, the main factors facilitating and hindering the implementation, as well as the perceived benefits of the program, as perceived by the participants (children and parents) and the facilitators. Finally, research and clinical implications will be discussed.

This article takes a look at the community of game collectors in Quebec, first by exploring how ludovideophily compares itself from classic collecting. We then isolate Quebec video game collection to identify how the community navigates through a world that is even more open and that interacts mostly in English. Do specifically Quebec centric attributes exist ? An incursion inside this group will highlight our reflection and help confirm if these collectors meld themselves in the bigger group or if they stick their head high enough to differentiate from the international communities.

This joint study examines Jacques Ferron's (1921-1985) complex attitude towards Louis Hémon and his original and highly personal reading of the latter's work. Fascinated by Hemon's biography as much as by his work, and feeling a profound affinity with the man, Ferron was particularly alert to what he considered the autobiographical dimension of the Breton writer's fiction. We chose to focus on this biographical association, first identifying the elements that led Ferron to see himself in the other writer, then tracing, through his private correspondence and public writings, the development of his “passion” for Hémon. Our discussion concludes with a close study of the complex Hémonian intertextuality running through Ferron's novel Les roses sauvages, a work where literary criticism is woven into the fiction and where Ferron's own autobiographical project is enriched by his reading of Hémon's life and work. The aim is to highlight this important and little studied instance of Hémon's reception in Quebec and suggest new avenues for interpreting the work of both Ferron and Hémon.

AbstractBetween 1967 and 1977, some 10 million Tanzanians were moved from scattered individual holdings into government mandated Ujamaa (literally, ‘familyhood') villages in one of the largest resettlement movements in history. President Julius Nyerere, ‘father' and philosopher of Tanzanian socialism, justified villagization on the grounds of being better able to provide basic services, such as medical clinics, schools, and clean water, to the citizenry. Yet in the wake of the quiet abandonment of socialist policy and rhetoric in the mid-1980s, the fate of these villages remains largely unknown. How do villagers evaluate life in these villages now as compared to socialist times? Have any elements of communal cooperation that may have existed been retained? In this paper, interviewed with residents in former Ujamaa villages in Mwanza Region provide some answers to these questions and are contextualized within a broader analysis of agricultural policy in socialist and postsocialist Tanzania.
