From disciple to mentor, this is the path followed by Christine de Pizan. She begins to stage herself under the guidance of allegorical personifications such as the Cumaean Sibyl in Chemin de long estude (The Long Road of Learning), and Reason, Rectitude and Justice in the Livre de la Cité des Dames (The Book of the City of Ladies) et le Livre des trois Vertus (The Book of the Three Virtues). Then she assumes in her own name the role of mentor. The initiatory quest she undertakes in the first of these texts, refers to the well-known topos of the trip to the Other World under the guidance of an emblematic figure, represented by two major works that inspired her, Dante’s Divine Comedy and Virgil’s Aeneid.

With the growing importance given to the development of communicative competence and especially to sociolinguistic competence in language classes, French as a second or foreign language textbooks are now focusing on the plurality of language use, in particular by presenting different varieties and sociolinguistic uses, thus adapting the content to exchanges in the French-speaking world. However, the treatment of French national varieties and their speakers often conflicts with the teaching of a language of instruction, which is intended to be uniform. This study, which was based on a comparative discourse approach, proposed to examine, through a corpus of 10 textbooks intended for adolescent and adult audiences, representations associated with national French, geographic territories and speakers in French and Quebec textbooks. The results showed that the representations associated with national French varied greatly according to the place where the textbooks were published. Quebec textbooks had only one variety and the informal traits were highlighted, while the French textbooks, presenting several French varieties, used the variety from France as a point of reference for comparison.

Although interest in children's digital culture in early childhood education is on the rise, research has so far paid limited attention to their digital culture in informal contexts. Our research question is as follows: what are the social and digital literacy implications of children's informal activity in digital games? Drawing inspiration from socio-material theorization as well as Rogoff's work (2014), we explore the social activity of creation within virtual environments. In our case study, we identify two main dimensions: resources for creating digital objects and the social status of digital objects. The interaction between the material and virtual world reveals the richness of dialogues between actors and objects, both inside and outside of games, suggesting new modes of play and engagement with reality.

The French Law of 11 March 1957 on copyright applied in Cameroon until 1982 was not adapted to the Cameroonian politico-cultural context. This provoked its replacement by the Law n° 82-18 of 26 November 1982 regulating copyright. This law had the advantage of protecting the Cameroonian folklore and works inspired by it, but had the weakness of not protecting neighboring rights. The necessity of protecting neighboring rights led to the adoption of the Law n° 90/010 of August 10th 1990 relating to copyright and neighboring rights. The prodigious development of computers and new technologies of information and communication, which is responsible for the existence of the new works and new possibilities of diffusion has quickly revealed that the 1990 Law was obsolete. The law adopted on the 19th of December 2000 on copyright and neighboring rights integrates the numerical environment in which we live henceforth, widening the categories of protected art works and improving conditions for creators and diffusers of intellectual works. In Cameroon's substantive law, new categories of protected works were added to the existing categories. These consist of commissioned works and works relating to computer science such as software, data bases, and multimedia works. At the same time, mechanisms to protect intellectual works have been simplified and improved in order to procure to creators and diffusers the most effective guarantees. That is why in the 2000 law we notice a reinforcement of the attributes of moral rights of authors and artists and the safety of their royalty, so as to help them out of their poor working conditions.
