Professional knowledge in teaching develops through constant interaction between theory and practice (Morales Perleza, 2016). This development is imbued with challenges inherent in the education sectors. For college teachers, who are generally poorly prepared to teach, these challenges relate to teacher training, the complexity of the task, and the reality of their students. To support the professional development of eight college teachers, an action-research-training project was coordinated by two researchers, an educational advisor, and a research assistant. The main objective was to identify professional knowledge that was shared and developed within a professionally supported co-development group. The analysis of the data, collected from the summaries of each of the meetings and a focus group, made it possible to highlight the types of professional knowledge most frequently shared by teachers, including those on students, pedagogical, contextual, curricular, collaborative, and human.

Social acceptability of mining projects is a major issue for the extractive industry. The literature considering social acceptability in connection with the mining world discusses a concept called the social licence to operate, as a way to avoid disturbance that could compromise extractive activities. This reductive vision is a transposition in the social world of mining projects establishment dynamics. Moreover, there are definitional and measurement difficulties associated with the notion of social acceptability itself. With the view of being useful to actors involved in real-life situations, we created an index that determines the risk for conflict development between a company and a local community during the first stages of mineral resources development, at the beginning of advanced exploration. It is applicable to the Province of Quebec. The model is based on an analytical description of the main determinants of conflicts, articulated around three structuring poles : affected community-ies, the company promoting the project, and the project itself in its natural environment. A questionnaire is used to qualify the communicational dynamics, and completes the evaluation of a given situation while giving space to perceptions. The identified variables are weighted and combined to get the social risk index. The index can be used by investors, mining companies, communities and governments. It facilitates the identification of aspects that can generate more social risk and the development of a stakeholder's dialogue. This article reflects the interdisciplinary approach adopted for this project.

In Quebec, the creation of a unified family court (UFC) has long been proposed as a solution to several issues relating to access to justice for families. Although UFCs were piloted in the 1970s and maintained in many Canadian provinces, the idea failed to take root in La Belle Province. This article sets out the documented advantages of UFCs for litigants and identifies the reasons why it has not been introduced in Québec. The barriers that litigants face in the current family justice system will be laid out, before making the case for a UFC in light of the experience of other Canadian provinces. An examination of the work undertaken by l'Assemblée nationale regarding the creation of a UFC allows us to identify the obstacles to its realization. The views of the various actors in the field are also analyzed to establish the importance of access to justice. This analysis will show that the debate is focused around federalism and how political barriers continue to hinder reforms relating to access to justice for families.

This article reports on a review of the literature on peer feedback regarding the conditions that optimize and those that reduce its contribution to student learning, whether the student is the sender or receiver of feedback. The conceptual frameworks adopted for this form of student participation and identified effects are presented. The conditions outlined are grouped under three components of the peer feedback activity: teacher intervention, peer interaction, and reflection in and on action within the classroom. They form the practical framework for peer feedback activity in a classroom context, including distance education courses. This practical framework thus suggests ways of doing things and elements to consider when engaging learners of different levels in this activity. In the end, this literature review provides a better understanding of the contributions of a successful peer feedback activity, both for the students who participate and for the teacher who accompanies them.

The studies on human capital, carried out to date, have clearly shown its importance for organizations. However, its construction in the workplace remains little explored. Even research on its model is scarce. To understand the variables to be prioritized, a study of Chadian HRM practitioners and theorists was carried out. We applied the mixed methodology. Data was generated through 11 semi-structured interviews and 178 surveys. The step-by-step deconstruction approach of the human capital construction process, from reception to permanence, was used. The results showed that at the stage of welcoming human capital in the organizational environment, coaching practices promote the skills to perform tasks in a structured manner. Then, at the integration stage, coaching practices and investments in training are two effective levers. Finally, during the permanence phase, we have seen an undeniable contribution from investments in training, but it is above all the opportunities for experience and the agile environment that promote the building of the best talents in the workplace. This article is useful for researchers who will find a renewed definition of human capital with new proven variables and items that appear to be more relevant. Managers and consultants will find new variables to effectively enhance and value human capital in the workplace. This article is in line with the theory of resources and the theory of skills and suggests that there is a differentiated relational contingency in each phase of the construction of human capital.
