AbstractRelationships hetween Industrial and Artisanal Fishinx Changes and Conséquences for ResearchThis article aims at pinpointing the analytical and methodological issues linked to the reinsertion of artisanal fishing among the priorities of international development agencies. It shows how aseemingly greater interest in interdisciplinarity.justified by astrongerdiversity in the labor processes and of social-cultural contexts in this activity, remains embedded into ideological bias and institutional practices linked to the existing asymetry prevailing between bio-economic and social sciences. It suggests. in conclusion, some research avenues the resolution of which aiming can increase the contribution of maritime anthropology in fisheries development.

The practice of interdisciplinarity in law has become increasingly relevant when dealing with complex and innovative legal issues. Nonetheless, this confronts researchers with a diversity of methods and theories, and brings to the fore challenges requiring specific types of solutions. Between 2008 and 2010, an empirical enquiry into placement services was carried out by a team made up of legal scholars and social science specialists (anthropologists and a sociologist). In reviewing the experience of the preceding team, this paper emphasizes the benefits reaped and obstacles encountered at each step in the research process. It then draws attention to the way in which recourse to empirical enquiries based upon social science tradition stands out as complementary to classical legal research. Last of all, it underscores more general lessons likely to be applied to other interdisciplinary research experiences in law.

AbstractWhat we want to do here is clarify a number or important concepts that are sometimes used as equivalents in environmental sciences and practices, but that might require some distinctions and specifications. We specify concepts like multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity, but also disciplinarity and pluridisciplinarity. Maybe if we had a more clear conscience of those issues, we would understand each other along the way in collaborative projects. We also show how they shed light on specific issues, for instance water governance issues, and we distinguish these problems from valid questions of interprofessionality.

Through the instance of a creativity training device for French-speaking Swiss teachers, this paper aims to analyze how creativity and interdisciplinarity may represent professionalization keys in a durability prospect. By crossing three theoretical frameworks respectively connected with creativity, interdisciplinarity and professionalization, we show how these concepts overlap and make it possible to shed light on data collected upstream, during and at the end of the studied device. It appears then that the development of interdisciplinary creativity is an essential component of sustainability in teachers' skills, knowledge and expertise, despite some limits that are opportunities to optimize training.
