Excavated from 1983 to 1990, the circular fortress of Péran, built upon an early LaTène seulement, has been destroyed by fire during the 10th century A.D. The typology of some discovered metal artefacts (a coin from St. Peter in the city of York, iron sheeted and riveted cauldrons), like those of the viking boat grave of Groix, make us think that the site has possible connections with events in relation with the end of the Vikings presence in Britanny.
