Irma Hagfors

PhD student in English at the University of Helsinki in Finland. She completed an MA on the translation of cultural references in Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows in 2000. She is currently working on a PhD on the translation of children's literature in post-war Finland. Her main interests include the Golden Age of British children’s literature (mainly The Wind in the Willows), children’s classics and the books by L.M. Montgomery.
