Biographie
Judith Inggs
PhD, originally comes from the United Kingdom. Currently she is Senior Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting in the School of Literature and Language Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has an Honours degree in Linguistics and Russian, and a Master’s degree in Translation. In 1997, she completed her doctoral dissertation on Russian children’s literature during the period of Perestroika. Her current interests lie both in translation studies and in children’s literature. She has written a number of articles in both fields and has, in recent years, developed a particular interest in South African English youth fiction. Future projects include a study of the translation of children’s and youth fiction into the African languages of South Africa, in conjunction with a number of research students.
