Abstract
The rurban fringe is usually defined as a non-organized space in which flow freely the marginal activities of the central development. It should now be studied as an area with an organization of its own, in which, especially, the structure of villages and small towns and the organization of the agricultural space and activities can orientate urban factors of development. In the near future, the study of the rurban fringe should be a condition of central city planning and a first step towards national space alternative designs.
