Internet : une pédagogie active ?

Résumé

Ce texte porte sur le contexte social d'implantation des technologies de l'information et de la communication et sur ses principaux apports à la formation. Comme à chaque fois qu'une nouveauté technique irrigue la société, les décideurs, poussés par l'impératif politique de l'action, ou visionnaires, décident qu'elle doit intégrer l'école. En France, au cours des dernières décennies, la radio, la télévision, l'informatique, ont été sommés d'intégrer l'école, le système éducatif (Durpaire, 1997). L'équation est fort simple et forge le postulat « nouveauté technique = innovation scolaire ». Internet n'échappe pas à cette matrice idéologique simpliste. Cependant, les possibilités offertes par le réseau offrent quelque chose de plus, l'interactivité.

Abstract

This article relates to the social context of the implementation of information and communication technologies, and to its main contributions to education. Whenever a technical innovation penetrates society, decision makers, whether under the pressure of the political imperative for action or because they are visionaries, decide that it must be incorporated into the school setting. In France, over the past few decades, radio, television, and informatics have all been compelled to be integrated into schools and into the educational system (Durpaire, 1997). It would seem that the simple equation "technical innovation = academic innovation" is viewed as axiomatic. The Internet is no exception to this simplistic ideological framework. It is true, however, that there is something more in the potential offered by the Internet, namely interactivity.

Resumen

Este texto trata acerca del contexto social de introducción de tecnologías de información y de comunicación y sus principales aportes a la formación. Como ocurre cada vez que una nueva técnica llega a la sociedad, aquellos que toman las decisiones, ya sea empujados por el imperativo político de la acción o porque son visionarios, deciden que esa técnica debe integrarse a la escuela. En Francia, a través de las dos últimas décadas, tanto la radio como la televisión y la informática han sido incorporadas a la escuela y al sistema educativo (Durpaire, 1997). La ecuación es bien simple y forja el postulado "nueva técnica = innovación escolar". Internet no es la excepción de esta matriz ideológica simplista. En todo caso, las posibilidades presentadas por la red ofrecen algo más: la interactividad.

Dieser Artikel befasst sich mit dem sozialen Hintergrund bei der Einführung der Informations- und Kommunikationstechniken und mit ihrem Beitrag zur Bildung. Wie jedes Mal, wenn eine technische Neuigkeit die Gesellschaft durchrieselt, beschließen auch diesmal die Entscheidungsträger, von politischen oder träumerischen Ideen getrieben, dass sie auch in der Schule stattfinden muss. In Frankreich wurden in Lauf der letzten Jahre das Radio, das Fernsehen, die Informatik dazu aufgefordert, die Schule miteinzubeziehen. Die Gleichung ist einfach und führt zum Postulat "neue Technik = etwas Neues für die Schule". Das Internet entgeht diesem übereinfachen ideologischen Modell nicht. Das Netz schafft immerhin die Möglichkeit der Interaktivität.
