Où en est l’historiographie des congrégations religieuses au Québec? L’article fait le point sur les principaux ouvrages publiés de 1975 à 1999. Il propose ensuite une approche nouvelle, par familles spirituelles, et esquisse une typologie des communautés établies au Québec en fonction de cette approche.

Abstract

The article attempts to conduct a state-of-the-art review of the main books published on the history of religious orders and congregations in Quebec between 1975 and 1999. It then suggests a new approach centered on the notion of spiritual families, and offers a typology of Quebec-based congregations according to that approach.
