Note biographique
Marjolaine ARPIN termine sa maîtrise en Histoire de l’art à l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Ses recherches portent sur les tensions, dans certaines oeuvres actuelles impliquant l’échelle miniature, en lien avec de « nouvelles » formes de démesure caractéristiques d’une société contemporaine dite globale. Elle a publié à l’automne 2010 un premier article sur ce sujet dans la revue esse arts+opinions et collabore depuis janvier 2010 au magazine Spirale, en plus de signer des textes d’opuscules d’exposition

Biographical note
Marjolaine ARPIN is completing an MA in art history at Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research focuses on the tensions in certain miniature-scale works and their link with “new” forms of the boundless that characterize our globalized contemporary society. In the fall of 2010, she published a first article on this subject in the magazine esse arts+opinions. Since January 2010, she has been collaborating with the magazine Spirale, in addition to writing presentation texts for exhibitions.
