Note biographique
Geneviève Chevalier est artiste et commissaire indépendante. Boursière FRQSC, elle poursuit des études postdoctorales à l’Université du Québec en Outaouais au sein du groupe de recherche Collection et impératif évènementiel / The Compulsive Collection (CIE/CO). Ses recherches portent sur le phénomène des interventions en contexte muséal, l’approche du commissariat situé et la notion de débat public. Récemment, son travail a été présenté au musée de Lachine (2015), au centre d’exposition Oslo8 à Bâle en Suisse (2015), à la Manif d’art de Québec (2014) et à la Thames Art Gallery à Chatham en Ontario (2014). Elle est chargée de cours à l’Université du Québec à Montréal.

Biographical note
Geneviève Chevalier is an artist and independent curator. The recipient of a grant from the FRQSC, she is pursuing postdoctoral studies at Université du Québec en Outaouais as part of the research group Collection et impératif évènementiel / The Compulsive Collection (CIE/CO). Her research deals with the phenomena of interventions in museum contexts, the situated curatorial approach and the notion of public debate. Her work has been presented recently at Musée de Lachine (2015), at the Oslo8 exhibition centre in Basel, Switzerland (2015), at Manif d’art de Québec (2014) and at Thames Art Gallery in Chatham, Ontario (2014). She teaches at Université du Québec à Montréal.
