Note biographique
Thomas Golsenne, docteur en histoire de l’art, est ancien pensionnaire de l’Académie de France à Rome et il enseigne actuellement l’histoire des arts visuels à la Villa Arson (École Nationale Supérieure d’Art) à Nice. Il a notamment publié divers articles sur l’ornementation à la Renaissance ou dans l’art contemporain, sur l’anthropologie des images, les formes occidentales de l’animisme ou sur la théorie de l’art. Il a organisé deux expositions, dont Bricologie. La souris et le perroquet (avec Burkard Blümlein et Sarah Tritz) sur les techniques des artistes contemporains (Centre National d’Art Contemporain de la Villa Arson, 2015) en plus d’avoir coordonné plusieurs colloques. Il dirige l’Unité de Recherche Bricologie à la Villa Arson. Il a récemment publié Pascal Pinaud. Serial Painter (Genève, 2014) et il va publier un essai monographique sur Carlo Crivelli en 2016.

Biographical note
Thomas Golsenne holds a doctorate in art history; he is a former pensionnaire at the French Academy in Rome and currently teaches visual art history at Villa Arson (École Nationale Supérieure d’Art), Nice. He has published various essays on ornamentation in the Renaissance and in contemporary art, on the anthropology of images, on Western forms of animism and on art theory. He has organized two exhibitions, including Bricologie. La souris et le perroquet (with Burkard Blümlein and Sarah Tritz) on contemporary artists’ techniques (Centre National d’Art Contemporain de la Villa Arson, 2015) and coordinated a number of colloquiums. Currently, he is director of the Unité de Recherche Bricologie at Villa Arson. He recently published Pascal Pinaud. Serial Painter (Geneva, 2014), and his monograph on Carlo Crivelli will be published in 2016.
