Note biographique
Emily Falvey travaille à Montréal comme commissaire et critique d’art indépendante. Doctorante en histoire de l’art à l’Université du Québec à Montréal, elle est lauréate du prix Joan-Yvonne-Lowndes (2009) du Conseil des arts du Canada, décerné à un critique d’art pour l’excellence de sa pratique, et de deux prix de textes sur l’art de l’Association ontarienne des galeries d’art (2006 et 2012). De 2004 à 2008, elle était conservatrice de l’art contemporain à la Galerie d’art d’Ottawa. Son projet de doctorat porte sur la relation de l’oeuvre d’art grotesque avec le capitalisme.

Note biographique
Emily Falvey is an independent curator and art critic working in Montreal. Currently a PhD candidate at the Université du Québec à Montréal, she is the recipient of the Canada Council for the Art’s Joan Yvonne Lowndes Award (2009) for excellence in critical and curatorial writing, and two curatorial writing awards from the Ontario Association of Art Galleries (2006 and 2012). From 2004 to 2008, she was the Curator of Contemporary Art at the Ottawa Art Gallery. Her doctoral project examines the relationship between the grotesque work of art and capitalism.
