Biographical note
Alexandria Pierce teaches twentieth-century art and graduate courses in contemporary art and art criticism in the Art History Department at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia and holds a PhD in Art History from McGill University. She has been published byArt Papers, Parachute, SKOL, McMaster University, the University of Manitoba, the University of Glasgow, and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. In 2012 Dr. Pierce presented research on Ken Lum’s work at The Art & Politics of Irony conference at McGill University and at the WORD/IMAGE IMAGE/WORD conference, School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York.

Alexandria Pierce enseigne l’art du 20e siècle et donne un cours de deuxième cycle en art contemporain et en critique d’art au Département d’histoire de l’art du Collège d’art et de design de Savannah, en Georgie. Elle est titulaire d’un Ph. D. en histoire de l’art de l’Université McGill. Ses écrits ont été publiés par Art Papers, Parachute, SKOL, l’Université McMaster, l’Université du Manitoba, l’Université de Glasgow et la galerie d’art du Greater Victoria. En 2012, Mme Pierce a présenté une recherche sur l’œuvre de Ken Lum à la conférence L’Art et la politique de l’ironie, à l'Université McGill, et à la conférence WORD/IMAGE IMAGE/WORD, à l’École d’arts visuels de Manhattan, à New York.
