Le Nom du corps. Lecture du manque et savoir de son sexe dans la Vagabonde

Le luxe de l'écriture et dans l'écriture participe du symbolique. Comme lui, il est un cache posé sur le manque. C'est bien un manque-à-soi que la Vagabonde met en scène dans son incipit. L'auteure y balbutie l'angoisse concomitante à la rencontre de son image de soi comme signifiant appartenant à l'Autre (sexe). Selon nous, l'advenue à l'écriture de son héroïne, doit en passer par une lecture, une rencontre du corps avec l'Autre incarné comme lettre sur un mur avant qu'un «je» de femme puisse intervenir dans une histoire et dans une oeuvre.

Abstract

The luxury of writing, the luxuriance in the written experiencce of the symbolic: they therefore act as a veil placed on the lack. La Vagabonde shows in its opening scene that very lack, which is a lack-for-oneself. In a hesitant voice, the author tries to trace for us the anguish attached to the difficult but necessary realization that one's self-image is a signifier spoken by the Other (sex). We suggest that her heroin's pathway to writing must first be staged as a reading, that is to say, an encounter of the body with the Other, an Other incarnated as a letter on a wall: only then can a woman's "I" intervene in a story and a history
