Cover. Deployment of NEPTUNE Canada’s Vertical Profiling System near Barkley Canyon, west of Vancouver Island. The installation and operation of NEPTUNE Canada, part of the Ocean Networks Canada Observatory, was largely completed in 2009, making Canada a world leader in cabled ocean observatory networks. The Vertical Profiler records physical and chemical parameters in a 400 m column of water. [Optional – See article on page 21].
