Biographical note
Sherry Lee’s research interests include music and culture in fin-de-siècle Vienna, opera, music and technology, and the musical thought of Theodor Adorno. Her work appears in the Journal of the American Musicological Society, Cambridge Opera Journal, Music & Letters, 19th-Century Music, Berg and His World (Princeton University Press), and other proceedings and edited volumes. Winner of the Westrup Prize, the Philip Brett Award, and the AMS50 fellowship from the American Musicological Society, she has twice been a Fellow of the Mannes Institute for Advanced Studies in Music Theory and holds grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Jackman Humanities Institute. Her book Adorno at the Opera is due to appear with Cambridge University Press in 2014.
