RÉSUMÉ

Le thème de la remise en cause de l'État social allemand est aujourd'hui largement dominant. Mais la plupart des analyses sont centrées sur la question de l'emploi et de la montée du chômage. Une autre lecture possible des changements montre que la transformation de l'État-providence allemand concerne plus largement les relations interindividuelles, en particulier entre hommes, femmes et enfants. Sous l'impact d'évolutions telles que le travail des femmes, la crise du mariage, la redéfinition des modes de vie familiaux, etc., deux formes de flexibilité interdépendantes apparaissent : la flexibilité du travail et la flexibilité des relations familiales.

ABSTRACT

There is a wide-spread idea that the German social state is in question. But most attention in such analyses goes to employment issues and to rising unemployment. Another way of reading the situation finds that the transformation of the German welfare state involves more broadly relations among individuals, in particular among men, women and children. As a result of changes in women's employment, the crisis of marriage, the redefinition of family life and so on, two forms of interrelated flexibility have appeared. One is flexibility at work and the other is flexibility in the family.

RESUMEN

Se habla mucho hoy en dia del cuestionamiento del Estado social Alemân. Pero la mayoria de los anâlisis estân centrados en el empleo y en el incremento del desempleo. Un enfoque diferente de la situation muestra que la transformacion del Estado social Alemân involucra de manera mâs amplia las relaciones entre individuos, particularmente entre hombres, mujeres y ninos. Como resultados de elementos como el trabajo de las mujeres, la crisis del matrimonio, la redefinition del modo de vida familiar, etc., surgen dos formas de flexibilidad interdependientes : la flexibilidad del trabajo, y la flexibilidad de las relaciones familiares.
