Abstract
Social science literature gives the concept of trust a decisive role in the effectiveness of economic, social and managerial interactions. Trust appears as a tool allowing to go beyond the aporia of the orthodox perception of economic and management approaches by strengthening the interactions between communities and supporting individual relations. Starting from the analysis of very small French enterprises (2 to 9 people at startup time), our study measures the relative importance of two types of interpersonal trust (intentional and competence) on enterprise survival.
