Biographical note
Prema Arasu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Minderoo-UWA Deep Sea Research Centre. Prema works alongside a team of scientists, utilizing creative and critical methodologies to investigate how the deep sea is constructed and reconstructed in the scientific, literary, and cultural imaginations. This work is necessarily interdisciplinary, involving aspects of animal studies and environmental philosophy to ask questions about the deep sea, its inhabitants, and the people who study it.
