Abstract
Insite is a supervised injection site dedicated to the injecting drug user population of the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver. On a foucaldian perspective, this article analyzes the regulation process of its users behavior throught the implentation of « dividing practices » and a « disciplinary space ». It proposes to determine how Insite relays in their concrete conducts the social normativity associated with the philosophy of harm reduction by the internalization of autonomy and individual responsibility and by monitoring the appropriation of a medically approved injection technique.
