Abstract
This article offers a comparative analysis of the films Les Bons Débarras (Mankiewicz, 1980) and Tadoussac (Laroche, 2017); the ideas inspired by the first film serve to articulate it with the second. Through a conceptual process combining psychoanalysis and feminism, the article examines the spectatorial postures engendered by Les Bons Débarras and puts them in relation with those which emerge from Tadoussac in order to initiate a current reflection on films whose discourse proposes an obvious questioning of the social and mythological treatment of femininity and motherhood through a rewriting of the Oedipal founding myth.
