Du grenier à la forêt : le musée de l’immatériel From the Attic to the Forest: the Museum of the Immaterial

Résumé

L’auteure décrit une sorte de parcours littéraire en quatre lieux propices à l’émotion. L’exploration de ces derniers permis de découvrir les mécanismes cachés que sous-tend l’expression de la dépossession. Plus tard ou trop tard, en perpétuel décalage, la dépossession est perpétuellement une conséquence des grandes luttes historiques et c’est souvent sur le plan personnel que les effets en sont les plus dramatiques. On la ressent de génération en génération, elle refait toujours surface, peu importe le temps écoulé. La dépossession nous guette et, tel l’animal, nous sommes toujours aux aguets. Ce parcours non chronologique d’un fragment de sa vie a révélé à l’auteure l’importance d’être en relation au territoire et, par le fait même, aux dimensions matérielles et immatérielles qui le composent. En parcourant ces lieux que sont le grenier, le chalet, le musée de l’Immatériel, le lecteur prendra part à ce sentiment de perte et comprendra comment il peut s’atténuer par l’acte de re-création du patrimoine immatériel.

Abstract

In this paper, the author describes a sort of literary journey composed of four places propitious for emotions. An exploration of these places leads to the discovery of hidden mechanisms that sustain the expression of dispossession. Later or too late, in constant interval, dispossession is always a consequence of the great historical fights, and often it is at the personal level that its effects are the most dramatic. It is felt from generation to generation, and it always reappears whatever the amount of time may have passed. Dispossession is watching us and, just like an animal, we are always watching for it. This non-chronological journey from a small part of my life revealed to me the importance of being in relation with the territory and its material and immaterial dimensions. By exploring the places that are the attic, the summer cottage, and the museum of the immaterial, the reader will take part in this feeling of loss and understand how it can be downplayed by re-creating the immaterial patrimony.
