Résumé
Le niveau des compétences en orthographe française des étudiants algériens a toujours été un sujet d’inquiétude et cette question semble être banalisée dans les programmes de FLE. Dans un univers connecté, nous faisons part d’une utilisation innovante de Facebook (FB) pour un apprentissage non formel de l’orthographe française chez une vingtaine d’étudiants algériens de première année de français. Nous avons analysé les différentes interventions tutorales, réactives et proactives qu’offrent le « mur » et la « messagerie Facebook ». Ces interventions ont favorisé l’apprentissage en facilitant la communication étudiant/enseignant, ce qui permet d’adapter au mieux l’apprentissage à leurs carences. Les résultats obtenus indiquent une remise à niveau de certaines compétences orthographiques.

Abstract
The level of French spelling skills of Algerian students has always been a concern and this issue seems to be trivialized in FLE programmes. In a connected universe, we share an innovative use of Facebook for a non-formal learning of French spelling in about twenty Algerian students of French first year. We analyzed the various tutorial, reactive and proactive interventions offered by the “wall” and “Facebook messaging.” These interventions have fostered learning by facilitating student/teacher communication, making it possible to better adapt learning to their deficiencies. The results indicate that some orthographic skills have been upgraded.
